Salmon Fishing Licence and Fishing Permit Fees
A state licence is required to fish for salmon and
sea trout. It is possible to buy a National licence or a Regional
Licence. A National Licence covers all Fishery Board Districts while
a Regional Licence covers only the Fishery District in which the
licence is purchased, in this case the Shannon Region. Costs for a
National Licence is €134.00 for 2008 season, or €50.00 for a 21 Day.
Reductions are available for juveniles under 18 years. Anglers
should note that in 2008 the fee includes a conservation fee which
is designed to contribute to
rebuilding our wild salmon stock resource
and habitats.
